Christmas day starts on a bright note early morning. Read about Christmas morning celebrations.
The air is filled with excitement and festivity as the dawn breaks over
Christmas day. Christmas morning is a much awaited day and grand
celebrations take place on Christmas morning. The day begins with kids
and adults saying prayers and singing "Happy Birthday" for
Jesus. Different people celebrate it differently. In some places there
is heavy snowing on Christmas. Since such people can't go to the Church,
the service is watched on television.
Christmas mornings are fun filled and full of exciting activities. In
some places, a small miniature manger is set up with some sand and
straws. Toy cows and sheep are then placed in it. Then a small cozy spot
is made within the manger where baby Jesus is made to lie down. Usually,
the young kids in a family get to do this activity. Then prayers are
recited and gifts are opened. People realize the significance of
Christmas and thank Jesus for showing them the right path in life.
In many places people put on new clothes, decorate their homes and go to
the church early in the morning. In some places, a huge procession is
arranged and a parade depicting the birth of Jesus is organized early in
the morning. This procession finally ends at the church where everyone
gathers for prayers. Breakfast is usually traditional with pancakes,
fried eggs, ham, wine and champagne taking the top slots. Family and
friends gather at a common place and have fun while basking in the
warmth of festivity.
Christmas morning celebrations vary in different parts of the world. In
Bethlehem, the small town where Jesus was born, decorations and
festivity don't cease and become all the more vigorous on the morning of
December 25th. A bright artificial star is set up on a pole in the
center of the village depicting the guiding star that showed the way to
the manger where Jesus was born. It doesn't really matter how Christmas
morning is celebrated as long as fun, festivity and faith don't cease to
exist among people all over the world.
